Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability is a shared responsibility that we see as an extension and continuation of our corporate values.
Our long-term philosophy includes a sustainable approach to our environment, as well as a consideration for the boarder social and economic responsibilities we have in the wider community. At Think Logistics, we believe that sustainability considerations should impact both the services we provide and the way in which we operate. We are committed to identifying and implementing sustainable practices in both the work place and our market place. As an industry leader we believe that we have a shared responsibility to challenge outdated beliefs, practices and to innovate to advance our service offering and industry towards a more sustainable model. We seek long lasting, mutually beneficial customer and supplier relationships and we believe that being good stewards is not only good for society and the environment but also good for business.
Our commitment to our sustainability strategy is founded on the same simple principle that anchors our corporate mission statement – doing right by all of our stakeholders in order to create value for all parties.
From before sustainability was a global concern we have been taking those everyday steps necessary to incorporate sustainability into our long-term business model. From investments in energy efficient, zone based warehouse lighting to our active corrugate, wood paper and plastic recycling programs to our use of 100% post-consumer recycled corrugate we have found and implemented practical methods to reduce our net carbon footprint while being considerate to the bottom line.
Form a social and economic perspective we encourage and support our employees to bring forward charitable causes that they feel important and we seek and find ways in which to help foster and amplify their efforts. Historically this support involves the use of company assets and resources in addition to corporate donation and/or donation matching programs. We’ve also collaborated with clients seeking to serve a charity by donating services and resources to help amplify our partners’ efforts.
The integration of sustainability into our model continues to benefit all of our stakeholders and we are committed to exploring and embracing sustainability initiatives in the future. We believe that being an environmentally conscious organization is a responsibility that isn’t limited to a specific, fixed timeframe.
